You know you've made it when...

...you are asked to be on a GAP ad! Here's a flashback of GAP's 2002 ad featuring Kate Beckinsale and Orlando Bloom. These chaps had just set foot on their career ladder and being the faces of GAP certainly gave them all the reassurance they needed! What a wonderful film this was... to include Mr. and Mrs. Perfect! However, now our beloving clohing store is remodelling and has created another ad create by Spike Jones in order to grab your attention... You can watch it here!

Kelly Osbourne... the new "face" of Accessorize!

Politically correct or just plain stupid???? Good for them not sticking with the mainstream trick of skinny fab looking models (what happened to Mischa Barton?!)... but choosing Lady Kitch makes me wonder about the results!

A silly comment loving event for a good cause...

It's this time of the year again, when Eurovision approaches and some countries are working hard (aka Cyprus, Turkey, Greece and Sweden) for this flop fest and others are playing it cool by doing nothing and appearing unprepared until they get riduculed on stage (aka UK, France and Spain)... I think this year it'll all be different! First and for most because Maria Menounos will be presenting the show and second because it will be held in Greece! It will certainly be another high-calibre event for the Greeks to clean up their act and show their million dollar Olympic face again! One things for sure, Eurovision is a great way to advertise the winner country's touristic treasures! So live your myth in Greece...

Pink says it raw!

Pink ridicules the superficiality and the clueless behavior of today's american pop culture icons in her latest music video "Stupid Girls". She's been bolder than ever in this parody that satirizes splitting images of Paris Hilton's notorious sex tape, Linsday Lohan's careless driving, Jennifer Simpson's raunchy music video and Mary-Kate Olsen's love for Hollywood's ultra trendy bootique store. This video certainly gives a positive strong message to young women and shutters the media's obsession for all things beautiful yet not necessarily smart.
Pink herself comments on the storm she created by saying: "I love the discussion that's going on right now. There's always a backlash when you challenge people's convictions and their heroes"But I don't do all this so I can be in Us Weekly every week. I don't do this so that people think I'm cool."I never said I was perfect, and I never said anybody else doesn't have permission to make fun of me for what I do. I'm a walking contradiction. I'm a hypocrite sometimes. I'm a work in progress."But I'm working to be better. I'm seeking out smart people and responsible women, and I'm standing up for animals. “I'm not making fun of a certain person, I'm making fun of an idea, and I think they're missing the point. Sexy doesn't have to come with the price tag of being dumb."
Well spoken Pink! Although this idea could be a perfect tool to make her the next pop queen idol!

James Blunt sells his sister on ebay...

Move over Jamie Foxx's bentley, Britney Spears's antique chair... here comes the latest trend in celebville: SELL YOUR SIBLING! WTF??? Apparently James's sister needed desperetely to fly to Ireland for a funeral, but could not find a flight. Then came brilliant brother to the rescue and auctioned her on ebay until someone would fly her with the requirement that the buyer will treat her nicely. The prince was found who ultimately flew her by helicopter and became her beau for the last 18 months...
And just when I thought James Blunt was successfull!

Charlize Theron strips for Dior...

...and who is not gonna adore this ad??? OMG it makes you want to watch the whole thing over and over again... this is even better than the first one Theron did for j'adore perfume.
That's it! There's no job for models no more... Nicole Kidman is for Chanel, Uma Thurman for Louis Vuitton, Halle Berry for Versace, Diego Luna for Zegna and the list goes on... are the ones who seal the deals with the leading luxury brands and become their new faces! You got to be an acclaimed actress to be a supermodel nowadays... so why Kate Moss is still on business???

Zazoo... zazoo.. zazzz up!

One for the ladies...

Girlfriends, this coloreria italiana ad is for you! I think this coloraria ad just kicks ass... however I doubt if anyone takes the soap seriously to trust its clothes with it, but it surely is a cool image to associate the product with it! The ad will have other uses than selling soap, such as to create expressions like "I found a coroleria guy" or "He needs to be coroleriaded"... be creative, find some more!

The bestest ad ever...

My bad... apparently there's nothing remotely close to Honda's ad "Honda Choir" created by Wieden & Kennedy London with the self-proclaimed "best ad ever" in the previous post. Toyota's RAV4 is soooooo yesterday! Apparently the ad has attracted some controversy in the UK mainly because of the high level of downloads that it has originated. More of this you can find out on "welcome to optimism".

Fashion & Cosmetics Moguls do detention...

The french antitrust regulators took action to control the unrealisticly high prices of top luxury goods and perfume companies by issueing fines. The Competition Council explained that a certain group of companies had set up a price agreement to "artificially inflate prices" and threaten those who were unwilling to follow suit.

According to the Herald Tribune, yesterday, the companies that were fined were Sephora of LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy) group by 9.4 million, L'Oreal by 4.1 million, Chanel by 3 million, Parfums Christian Dior by 2.2 million, Yves Saint-Laurent Parfums by 1.8 million, Guerlain by 1.7 million and many others.

The brands in order to defend their case justified their high leveled prices as a means to keep their good quality and luxurious image in tact. Will these fines rationalize luxury suppliers? I surely doubt so... but it's a good start!

Move over Pink RAZR... GOLD D&G has arrived!

Can you keep up?? Motorola did it again!! After thrilling us with its sharp silver & black razors and becoming a household name again on mobile innovation, it treated all girls with pink cute little gadgets that was spring's must-have of 2006. But, what can top this new obsession? A collaboration of Motorola with Dolce & Gabbana to create an exclusive gold razor v3i is all that Victoria Beckham could have hoped for! This limited edition razr of a thousand only pieces is sold exclusively in Dolce & Gabbana boutiques. Sigh! When genius meets style... (Source)
